Rockwood Electric Utility would like to thank all its customers served from its Kingston Substation for their cooperation this past week while we performed some necessary switch maintenance and worked with TVA in support of the new Kingston CC Plant construction. In order to put the system transmission line back to normal, TVA and Rockwood Electric Utility will need to have a 2-hour PLANNED outage at the Kingston Substation starting at midnight on Thursday night (10/23/2025)/Friday morning (10/24/2025) for TVA re-install jumpers and perform switching. Once again, for the safety of all TVA and REU employees, the transmission line and the substation both need to be completely de-energized in order to do this work. The extent of this outage will be similar to last week and affects only customers fed from the Kingston Substation.
