Field Engineer

Job Qualification:

This position requires technology skills necessary to maintain the Utility’s Geographic Information System (GIS), data files, and other databases using engineering related vendor software and web interfaces.  Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent software is also required.  Other responsibilities of this position include performing field staking and layout activities, preparing work order drawings, and creating material lists for the construction of overhead or underground distribution lines, secondary, and services for new and existing customers.  The successful candidate for this position must possess positive interpersonal skills, have the ability to communicate effectively with the general public, and have an effective working relationship with other employees.  A high school education is required along with an associates degree in engineering technology or other equivalent program/experience acceptable to the Utility.  The ideal candidate will also have familiarity with utility power distribution systems.
